Lamman Rucker as “Dr. Nero”

Lamman Rucker is an American actor, best known for starring as Will Brown in Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns” and as Jacob Greenleaf in the Oprah Winfrey Network’s TV drama series, “Greenleaf”. He is widely recognized for his notable performances in Tyler Perry movies, “Why Did I Get Married?” (2007); its sequel, “Why Did I Get Married Too?” (2010) and the TV adaptation of “Meet the Browns”.  Rucker began his career on the daytime soap operas, “As the World Turns”, “All My Children” and the popular television movie mini-series, The Temptations.  He went on to star in the hit UPN sitcoms, “Half & Half” & “All of Us”, and has guest starred in several prominent television series and movies.

Riga Ruby as Dr. Nero’s Wife

Actor and comedian, Riga Ruby is a native of New Orleans who has been performing for 20 plus years. She studied Theatre Arts at Dillard University and also earned a BA in Theatre Arts from Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Her memorable performances prompted sold out collegiate and local shows while residing in Maryland. Upon moving back to her hometown in 2013, Riga immersed herself in independent theatre and film projects throughout the city and regional area. She immediately became a crowd favorite in sketch and stand-up comedy of many local stages. Riga Ruby has recently become a social media sensation who is known for her hilarious variety of character acts. Her unique creativity coupled with effortless versatility in character work affirms that she is certainly “one to watch”.

Tanner Ellis As “Mohamed Effin”

For 17 years this NAACP Image Award nominated actor has been shining in front of cameras and on stages since age 7. Tanner Ellis began his start in the entertainment industry at age 7 doing main stage theatre downtown in Houston, TX at The Ensemble Theatre. He would later come to guest star in multiple TV shows such as Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, The Purge, Netflix’s Hot Date, OWN’s Queen Sugar, and more! You can also catch him starring in commercial ads for major corporations such as Starbucks, Pepsi, VRBO, EF Tours, and Lakewood Church. Ellis attended the magnet performing arts high school in Houston, TX, The High School for The Performing and Visual Arts, and has even been trained by actress and director Tasha Smith when he attended her acting workshop (TSAW).

Kanesha Washington as “Sargent Knowles”

Kanesha Washington is a Louisiana native. Some of her credits include: Soul City, NCIS: New Orleans, Claws, Tales from the Hood 2 and most recently Better Things and Filthy Rich. She was nominated for Best Actress in the LA Film Prize for her lead role in The Stand. She trains weekly and firmly believes it’s not about luck but when preparation meets opportunity.

DEANNA CHARETT AS “CLAUDINE”

DeAnna Charett is an actress known for Disorientation, The Convent and Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous. Born in Mobile, Alabama, USA.  DeAnna traveled with her mom wherever the Army sent them.  After graduation DeAnna joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in the U.K., Florida, South Korea and Louisiana.  While in the Air Force, DeAnna studied TaeKwonDo and fell in love with the sport, where she eventually earned her 5th Degree Black Belt.  DeAnna was a member of the U.S. Air Force TaeKwonDo Team for two years and a member of the All Armed Forces TaeKwonDo Team.  After ten years in the Air Force, DeAnna decided to join the U.S. Army Reserves and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  DeAnna retired from the military in 2009 and has actively pursued a career in the film industry both in front of and behind the camera.  

Christopher Michael Milligan as “Brandon”

Christopher Michael Milligan is a New Orleans native with over ten years of performing experience in theatre and film. Select credits include the films: Dating My Mother and Connor in R.A.W.M., Cosmo Brown in Singin’ In the Rain (Alhambra Dinner Theatre), Featured Dancer in SWING! (Dutch Apple), and most recently Scarecrow in the International Tour of The Wizard of Oz! Christopher is also an avid photographer and fitness instructor! Kristina Scott as “Brooke”

Kristina Scott is an actress & writer from New Orleans.  As a child, she enrolled in gymnastics and karate; eventually earning a black belt in Shotokan. In high school, she was the only rookie in her Speech & Debate team to qualify for Nationals in Chicago, qualifying 1st in Dramatic Interpretation. Kristina studied at the University of Louisiana & Universidad de Granada in Spain. She graduated as a published writer w/ a BS in psychology, a BA in Spanish, and minors in both English and biology. After graduation, Kristina enrolled in Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts. Shortly after, she signed with FAME agency. She is now a working actor, appearing in local and regional film, TV, and commercial productions.

Tai Nicholas as “young woman”

Originally born in the small town of La Place, LA, Tai’s interest and love for acting began when she was accepted into NOCCA (New Orleans Creative Center for Arts) during her junior year of High School. Tai went on to study Theatre at Loyola University in New Orleans and the University of Louisiana in Lafayette where she starred in a production her first semester there. She finished her studies and earned her B. F. A in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Performance from Dillard University (New Orleans) in 2016 where she was a recipient of the Denzel Washington Scholarship. Several months later, she landed a job as Talented Theater teacher working with the Gifted and Talented children from grades K-12th.  She was recently accepted into UCLA’s highly competitive Professional Acting for the Camera Program. 

katryn edith schmidt as “brooke’s mom”

Katryn Edith Schmidt grew up in Slidell, Louisiana and moved to Lafayette where she began her acting career. She is a film, theatre, and commercial actress with recent appearances in Girl with a Gun, Tad Caldwell and the Monster Kid, A Christmas Coming Out, and the television show, Leverage: Redemption. She has a principle role in the pilot episode of the upcoming show, Unhallowed Ground as Detective Allison. Some of her most treasured theatre experiences include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, Carolyn Bryant in The Face of Emmett Till, and Christine in The Bad Seed. Katryn has traveled as far as Tartu, Estonia where she performed at a folklore festival in Confessions of a Former Monkey Mind Doctor.

Actress and Television Host, Chere’ Turner is no stranger when it comes to the entertainment industry. This Toledo, Ohio native comes from an extensive background in Film, Acting, Public Speaking, Radio, and Hosting. Thus far her accomplishments come with training from Emmy Award Winner Greg Alan Williams, Dwayne Boyd at Premier Actors Network and the IMAGE Award Nominee Actor Tasha Smith. She has played supporting roles in several Gospel Stage Play’s, Television Appearances, Independent Films and Web Series. You might have seen her on Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns”, Investigation Discovery Channel “Homicide Hunter”, TV One’s “Fatal Attraction” or as the Official Host of Atlanta’s elite events and Red Carpets. Chere’ is also the Executive Producer and Host of “Say Something! w/ Chere’ Talk Show, taped in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Trevor Chapman As “Officer 2”

Trevor Chapman is a native of Louisiana who has been acting for over 5 years and got his start doing stand-up, and improv comedy.  He has quick wit and brings lots of energy in his scenes.  His goal in life is to make the world laugh.  He is known for Girl with a Gun, It’s Time and Mistaken Fate (2018).
